Mile building weeks are great for doing just that – building miles.

And with miles and time on the water comes experience and confidence. Confidence not only in your own abilities but also confidence in how a boat handles and indeed what she can handle if you end up with testing weather and sea conditions.

We offer two options to build miles Tidal and Non Tidal. Mentoring from an experienced RYA instructor.

Our Tidal Option involves a trip to the UK and the fabulous sailing area of the Solent.  For people requiring to gain tidal miles towards their Yachtmaster total, this is a great way to get valuable experience in boat handling and navigating in tides. On a 5 day trip you will get around 180 nautical miles or more and dependent on weather a channel crossing to France.

Our Non tidal option we sail from Chiavari and aim to make a passage around Elba. You will get about 200 nautical miles, planning and executing long passages, plenty of night sailing and experience of passing shipping (all dependent on weather). This is a good way to gain mileage for the Swiss Sea Licence. It is also possible to make your astro navigational sights if you are working towards your Yachtmaster Ocean.

The emphasis is on having fun under the guidance of one of our experienced instructors, who will give you the opportunity to do as much or as little as you like.
