Claire Perryman
Claire Perryman, Principal of Just Sailing, is the point of contact for this family run business. She started sailing as a child on her family’s Wayfarer dinghy and as a teenager was spending weekends sailing her beloved Topper. As her family progressed on to sailing yachts she took her RYA Competent Crew at the age of 14. She has spent many hours sailing in and around the Solent, taken part in Cowes week and completed Cross Channel races.
Claire runs the Just Sailing office, co-ordinating all the behind the scenes operation to ensure that everyone that books with Just Sailing be it for a professional Yachtmaster examination, RYA qualification or a family skippered charter holiday, they have a truly memorable sailing experience.
Ian Perryman
Ian Perryman is a well-known and highly respected figure in the sailing world. He has been sailing since the age of 12, starting in dinghies and progressed to a dinghy instructor before moving on to big boats. Having spent 32 years in the Royal Navy Ian has sailed and raced all over the world. He has raced yachts in many of the major regattas including Cowes and Cork week. Alongside this he has taken part in the Sydney Hobart and Fastnet offshore races.
He is an RYA Yachtmaster Instructor and Examiner: a serious sailor with a great sense of humour. Ian inspires confidence and creates a relaxed learning environment, bringing the very best out in all his students with his favourite Top Tips.
Fabrizio Rescalli
After 20+ years working around the world (mainly in Europe Africa and Central America) as regional and countries director for international NGOs managing EU and UNs multimillion funds, he turned his passion for sailing into his life.
Fabrizio started his water based career at a very young age as a windsurfer and diver. Recently he attained his RYA Cruising Instructor qualification with Yachtmaster Ocean commercial endorsed. From La Rochelle to Sicily he has crossed the Bay of Biscay and the entire Mediterranean sea three times for a total amount of more than 7000Nm.
Starting with initially with catamarans (charter Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily) he has joined the Just Sailing team as Cruising Instructor for Competent Crew and Day-skipper courses.
He he is an RYA member and holds RYA Yachtmaster Ocean, VHF-SR, RYA First-Aid, ISAF survival at sea; in addition to the Italian Patente Nautica no-limits. He speaks Italian, English, Spanish with basic comprehension of French.
